Vassileva Ralitsa Yaa Alorvor

Campaigner

Vassileva is a Natural Resource management enthusiast, professional and a firm advocate for sustainable development. She has over 5 years of practical experience in sustainable natural resources management, climate change and landscape governance. While previously with Solidaridad Network West Africa, she played the role of a co-facilitator and later a programme officer contributing to development interventions and social change. She doubled as a gender focal person on different NRM interventions in various landscapes. She similarly served as a consultant for Conservation International, carrying out detailed research on gender-transformative change in sustainable resource management post capacity building phases of selected projects.

In Vassileva’s current role as a Campaigner at EcoCare Ghana, she is responsible for researching, developing and managing projects as well as monitoring and developing key campaign strategies on dominant issues surrounding cocoa and forest governance especially at the national level. She holds an MPHIL in Natural Resources and Environmental Governance, and a BSc in Natural Resources Management both from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She is ultimately passionate about contributing to building resilient and socially just ecosystems.
