Patience Padikie Olesu-Adjei

Campaigner

Patience is a Natural resources scientist with over ten years of experience in campaigning, training, and stakeholder mobilization in the forest sector.  She has a keen interest in working to reform resource governance and helping resource communities and farmers to realize their voice and assert their power. She worked for National Forestry Forum as a facilitator and served as a project officer at Friends of the Earth-Ghana. In both organisations, her work focused on FLEGT-VPA and was instrumental in developing and deploying the Community-Based Real Time Monitoring System.

Patience has a rich experience in sustainable natural resource governance and management, research and stakeholder mobilisation.  In her current role as a Campaigner at EcoCare Ghana, her work focuses on project development and management, Community level stakeholder mobilization, research national level campaigns on forests and the cocoa sector. She holds an MSc. in Tropical Forestry from Bangor University and a BSc. in Natural Resources Management from The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She is a leading female voice in Ghana’s journey towards equitable and sustainable Natural Resource management.
